Delamere Forest – Off Road Trails 4 & 7 mile trails

If its off road you want, this could be the place for you. Delamere Forest is situated

approximately 11 miles east of the historic city of Chester just off the A54 and is also easily
accessible by train with Delamere Railway Station only a couple of hundred yards away from The Linmere Centre. The start/finish of the cycle rides.

There are two main trails in Delamere Forest the 7 mile Whitefield Trail, marked in white on the map and the shorter 4 mile Hunger Hill Cycle Trail. Both the cycle routes are all off road routes and you are able to try out your off road skills while you cycle through the beautiful Delamere Forest.

At The Linmere Centre at the start of your cycle ride you will also find a large café which offers hot and cold meals and a cycle hire centre, so you can enjoy the forest by cycle even if you don’t own a mountain bike. There are also toilets and bike washing facilities near to The Linmere Centre. Don’t forget to check the opening times if you intend to visit the facilities. Enjoy………………………………

As well as the marked cycle routes you will find numerous other tracks which you are allowed to cycle along all through the forest. Enabling you to make your own route as you go if you wish.

Delamere Forest is Cheshire’s largest area of woodland covering approximately 2300 acres of woodland, wetland and grassland. You can also enjoy the wonderful wildlife in the forest.
