Start at the Wirral Way in Hooton and cycle along the Wirral Way towards Thurstaton/West Kirby. The Wirral Way is a dedicated cycle path and is traffic free for nearly all its length..
Continue along the entire length of the Wirral way for about 10 miles until you reach the end at West Kirby. (Note: there is a nice cafe at Thurstaton as you pass the old railway station platform. The cafe is behind the trees on your left on the green, overlooking the river.) At the end bear left until you come to the sea front at West Kirby then turn right towards Hoylake(The sea should be on your left)
Go about half a mile along then turn right down one of the roads and go to the end of the road and then turn left onto the main Hoylake road.
Cycle along this road with many very large houses and the golf club until you come to a round about. This is after about 1mile. At the roundabout turn left and go to the end of the road (about 300yds) until you come to the sea front.
At the sea front turn right (with the sea on your left).
You are now on another cycle path/promenade. continue along this sea front path until you come to New Brighton which approximatley seven and a half miles along the sea front.
Along the sea front you will have views accross to North Wales and on the final approach to new Brighton you will be able to see Liverpool across the River Mersey.
