A ‘cycle route’ of approximately 17 mile which takes you on a looped ride from Lampeter to the village of Llanddewi-Brefi along some scenic roads in The Teifi Valley. The cycle route is hilly in places and mainly along ‘B’ roads and country lanes. Lampeter and the surrounding area are famous for its premier angling rivers of Wales.

Starting from Bridge Street, in Lampeter town centre, cycle along Bridge Street away from the town centre in the direction of Cwmann. Cycle along Bridge Street for about 600 yards and then TURN LEFT on to Cellan Road B4343.

Continue to cycle along Cellan Road for about 7 miles until you come to the village of Llanddewi-Brefi. Along the way you will cycle through the village of Cellan. Llanddewi-Brefi is said to be the place of the legend where Saint David caused a mound to rise when he was preaching and on this mound is where the church now stands. You will also find a shop and a café in the village.
Continue on your return journey back along the B4343 along the way you came. About half a mile after leaving the village TURN RIGHT along a country lane which takes you over The River Teifi. After about 600 yards along this lane, and just after you have crossed the river you come to a ‘T’ junction. At the junction TURN LEFT towards the village of Llanfair Cldogau. About 600 yards along the lane you will climb a steep hill and then drop down on the other side of the hill. Continue to cycle along the lane for about three miles to the village of Llanfair Clydogau.

As you enter the village bear to your right along the lane (do not cross back over the river) and cycle along the lane for about 4 miles, until you reach the end of the lane at a ‘T’ junction with Bridge Street in lampeter. At the junction TURN RIGHT and follow Bridge Street back into Lampeter the start/finish of your cycle ride.
