Stepaside to Saundersfoot

Stepaside – Saundersfoot ‘The Dramway’ 3 miles

This is a short ride along a scenic route, including sea views which will take you down through a wooded valley via the old railway line and end up at Saundersfoot Harbour. The cycle path is made up of a good surface with traffic free sections along the way and there are some superb wildlife on route including otters ….if you are lucky.

Start at The Heritage Centre at Stepside and follow the old railway line from the centre through the scenic wooded valley.
After about 1.5 miles you will reach Wiseman’s Bridge. At this point you will encounter some beautiful sea views out to sea.

At Wiseman’s Bridge the cycle path will meet up with The Celtic Trail. Bear right along The Celtic Trail towards Cross Coppet Hall.
After a short distance you will come to a couple of disused railway tunnels. Dismunt as you go through the tunnels and as you come out of the tunnels you will join The Strand.
Follow The Strand until you reach the village of Saundersfoot and you can cut across the car park on the sea front to the harbour or take a pleasant walk/trip along the beach.
Also at Saundersfoot you can get suitable refreshments and even a bag of chips or an ice cream.
